Well-trained personnel are dedicated to working with children reported as suspected victims of child sexual abuse, severe physical abuse or neglect, drug exposed, or witnesses to violence. We provide a full scope of needed services: child forensic interviews, victim-family advocacy, crisis intervention, trauma counseling, resource assistance, education, and outreach. The provision of all direct services is offered to the families we assist, free from charge.

 Kids of the Community has a group of approximately 211 children that are often classified as at-risk. These children are mostly from low-income families. Each day is a constant struggle. They usually cannot afford food or other necessities. School expenses are often impossible to pay. Their lives are often limited to their home or perhaps a few activities at the Resident Activity Center. Their goal is to provide a monthly activity that is in a safe, drug-free environment. In addition, they hope to teach morals, values, and exposure to the positive aspects of living a productive life.

The Hope Center is a place to provide HOPE for those who seek to live a better and more productive life through recovery and the teaching of life skills. It is a place where we offer people a hand UP, not a handout. It’s all about giving HOPE to those in our community!

-We do Alcohol and Drug Assessments for the Warren County Legal System and make recommendations.

-We provide Parenting Classes for the Department of Children Services.

-We provide Anger Management for the Warren County Courts.

-We provide Codependency Support Groups for the family members of Substance Abusers.

-We provide transportation and pay entry fees for furloughs from jail for the PD office, and DA.

-We are a data base for the Community, providing referrals, as well as open doors for walk-ins.

-We transport and purchase ID’s and bus tickets for those who are homeless.

We seek to prevent abuse and neglect of animals by helping low-income pet owners with vet expenses, including spay/neuter and veterinary care in cases of severe illness and injury, and emergency pet food needs.  We also strive to teach humane treatment of animals and rehome homeless pets into adoptive homes.

To Provide affordable, safe, healthy, and nurturing pre-school childcare. We make every effort to serve at-risk and special needs children from low-income, working, and student parents. Tullahoma Day Care Center provides childcare for 2.5-5-year-olds Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am and 5 pm. Incorporating families in their child’s social and academic progress is a focus at TDCC.

 

Access Hope

It is the Christian Ministry of Access Hope, a free service offered by the Family Counseling Center, as a non-profit organization with services free of charge to all callers, to respond twenty-four hours daily to the emotional needs of the callers with confidential, non-judgmental, active listening:

  • By fostering self-directed resolution
  • By offering referrals, or
  • By intervention through telephone conversation with Access Hope volunteers.

 

Haven of Hope

The mission of Haven of Hope is to provide proactive, curative, and preventative measures against domestic and other violent crimes (i.e., sexual assault and stalking) in the contracted service areas. And to provide resources to strengthen and empower victims to resolve their own issues and problem. The program provides emergency shelter and support services to victims of domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking in Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Lincoln, Marshall, and Moore counties in Middle Tennessee. Support services are offered by caring trained advocates through an array of services to include: 24/7 hotline/crisis counseling, emergency food, transportation, and shelter. Staff advocates provide individual assessment, safety and service planning with enhanced resource and referral contacts and strategies. Provision of individual/ group crisis and educational counseling allows clients to have an avenue of guidance and support. Personal care/ system advocacy can help with ease of mobility in obtaining community services. Court/ legal assistance and accompaniment can prepare victims for the court process and provide comfort in knowing what to expect. Financial housing assistance can provide a safe and stable home for victims to rebuild their lives. Contract counselors provide licensed counseling for victims with severe abuse issues.

CASA Works, Inc. believes that every child has a right to the safe embrace of a loving family. Volunteers are recruited, trained, and supervised to be Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused children in Juvenile Court in Bedford, Coffee, and Franklin Counties. Upon appointment by the Juvenile Judge, CASA Volunteers have the authority to talk to anyone who has knowledge of the child. The CASA Volunteer then submits a comprehensive, objective report to the Juvenile Judge with recommendations for the best interest of the child.

 Located near Tullahoma, TN, Horse Play, Inc., provides a recreational horseback riding program designed to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical and/or intellectual challenges. They serve Coffee, Moore, Franklin, Lincoln, and Rutherford Counties. It is a nonprofit organization instituted and managed by a dedicated team of volunteers, medical professionals, and horse enthusiasts. Horse Play, Inc. complies with the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, (N.A.R.H.A.) standards and guidelines concerning safety, training equipment and instruction.

To offer peer counseling in areas such as finance management, budgeting, parenting, and self-improvement to help shelter residents to avoid homelessness in the future. To refer to additional agencies as needed on an individual basis. To create an environment of hope for those in need.
