United Way dreams of a vibrant and active volunteer force that helps our nonprofits and schools get things done. We host a local volunteer database of volunteer needs to help you find a place to get involved. We also host employee Volunteer Days, Volunteer Fairs, and an annual Day of Action to mobilize volunteers throughout our community.

In total, volunteers contributed nearly $1,500 of labor for some of our nonprofits in a few short hours. Volunteers from George Dickel Tennessee Whisky stepped up to lay a path, clear area behind the playground fence, and create a kickball field at Farrar Elementary. Other volunteers painted a bathroom and a new counseling room at Partners for Healing. More volunteers stepped up to power wash a community center, Dossett Chapel, and help clear some land for a new Highland Rim Habitat for Humanity house.
